The popular UR Series sound cards have seen several innovations that will further deepen users’ affinity for these intuitive devices. The quality of audio recordings has been improved, new DSP effects have been added, the designers have strengthened the durable chassis and, most importantly, the card now features an ultra-fast third-generation USB-C connector to extend compatibility to iOS devices. The dspMixFx virtual mixer has also received a new coat, which is again included in the package and is now compatible with iPhone devices. VST plugins now include REV-X reverb, Channel strip with compressor and EQ correction, as well as four guitar simulations for Clean, Crunch, Drive and Lead signals. The Steinberg UR22C sound card lets you record studio-quality audio right at home. Simply plug in your laptop or iPad and start recording.
Thanks to the integrated DACs, you can record in top quality 32bit/192kHz. This card also comes with two premium Yamaha preamps, so you don’t have to worry about sound clarity. All of this is housed in a durable metal chassis, so you can record on the go with this card. This is underlined by the fact that you can power the whole device with an external battery in addition to the USB cable. Of course, there is lossless monitoring or MIDI input and output.
As is customary with Steinberg, the UR22C is compatible with all known audio processing software, even iPad apps, so just connect it to your Apple tablet and you can record anywhere. In addition, Cubase AI and Cubasis LE software are included in the card’s package. If you decide to stream your production live, you’ll appreciate the Loopback feature, which in conjunction with Cubase is what makes live streaming possible.
